CMT Edge debuted the new video from The Infamous Stringdusters today featuring Let it Go, the title track of the band’s upcoming album. The video highlights the Duster studio experience, showing them recording the new album.
The song is one the Stringdusters have been doing in their live shows for several months. It carries a strong, spiritual message and wise words to live by.
The song is written by the band’s fiddler Jeremy Garrett and Jon Weisberger, who plays bass for Chris Jones and the Night Drivers. Jeremy and Jon are a powerful songwriting team. They also wrote I’ll be Going Home on banjo payer Terry Baucom’s new album Never Thought of Going Back as well as Come back to Me from a Missy Werner album.
In the CMT story, Jeremy said, “we have to let things go sometimes … so that we are free to stop the worry and concentrate on the things that we can do to add light and value to the world.”
If it’s worry you’ve been feeling
for the things you can’t control
hey it’s time to let it go.
If you think you can make a difference
and the fire is in your soul,
go ahead and take your stand
and if you can’t then let it go.
Just let it go.
Good advice. Let it go.
